ANTIQUE LARGE VICTORIA OAK CARVED OCTAGONAL TABLE

This item has been removed from a house as part of an estate clearance.

Condition:- Very Good to Excellent. One or two slight dinks as would be expected with the age of this item. 

The colour and patina is great. The images below gives you an understanding of the construction of this solid oak piece of furniture.

The table top and solid panel underneath are carved with half wheel motives running around the perimeter.

There are eight baluster legs with bun feet.

This item is obviously replicating an earlier style but is clearly Victorian and the provenance provided by the previous owners would put it to around the late 1800's

The approximate measurements are:-

Height:- 30 inches

Width:- 36 inches plus

Depth:- 36 inches plus

This is an ideal item for anyone with the right setting for this table. Looks great on display and what's more it is a functional piece of furniture that you can enjoy using.

ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN OCTAGONAL TABLE

This item has been removed from an Edwardian house as part of an estate clearance.

 

It is an octagonal walnut/mahogany hall table with box wood inlay stringing around the edge of the table top along the legs and along the side panels.

Condition:- Over all it is in good condition. structurally sound. The top needs a re-polish due to scratches and water marks.

The approximate measurements are:-

Height:- 28 inches plus

Width:- 20 inches plus

Depth:- 20 inches plus

ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN/VICTORIAN UPRIGHT PIANO

This item has been removed from an Edwardian house as part of an estate clearance.

The piano case is either a flame mahogany or walnut with a deep rich colouring that looks fantastic.

Originally retailed by Horn & Thompson of Burton on Trent Staffordshire.

I have been unable, at present, to establish who the maker was or which type of upright it is i.e straightstrung or overstrung. hence the low price.

The keys play but having looked inside the top lid I would suggest it need a good clean and re-tune.

This item has been removed from an Edwardian house as part of an estate clearance.

The piano stool is either a dark mahogany or walnut with a deep rich colouring it looks fantastic.

I have been unable, at present, to establish who the maker was

The seat may need to be re-covered otherwise it is functional and ready to go.

The lid opens up for storage of sheet music.

The approximate measurements are:-

EDWARDIAN/VICTORIAN FIRE SURROUND WITH TILES

This item has been removed from an Edwardian house as they have re styled the living quarters.

The fire surround is cast iron with three panels of tiles one on the top consisting of two Scottish Loch scenes and one further Scottish scene:-

Lock Long

Loch Lomond

The Hermitage near Dunkeld

The tiles on the side panels consist of a row of four tiles on top of each other with raised Polyanthus or Primula flowers.

The measurements are:-

Height:- 42 inches

Width:- 36 inches

Opening:-

Height:- 18 inches

Width:- 24 inches

The general condition of the fireplace is good. It has been outside and will need to be restored by repainting. The tiles are in good condition. However, the Scottish tiles do have crazing which is to be expected from this genuine period item.

The item is currently stored in a dry environment out of the weather.

 This is an ideal item for anyone restoring a period house and in need of genuine period items.

VICTORIAN/EDWARDIAN ART NOUVEAU OAK BOOKCASE

This is a fantastic and useful item.

Made from solid oak with oak panel board back

The glass leaded doors have a tulip style pattern in the glass.

 

One of the glass panels is cracked at the bottom left corner which can be seen in the image.

 

The approximate measurements are:-

Height:- 48 inches

Width:- 36 inches

Depth:- 14 inches

 

The general condition of the bookcase is good. It will need a little polish and the glass replacing otherwise it is functional, great to look at and ideal for the Victorian or Edwardian house.

 

The item is currently stored in a dry environment out of the weather.

 

This is an ideal item for anyone restoring a period house and in need of genuine period items.
